Magmec, a company redefining critical mineral supply through magnesium production, has been named one of 11 finalist startups in Emirates Global Aluminium’s (EGA) Ramp-Up programme, powered by C3.

Out of hundreds of applications from around the world, 23 startups were initially selected for the prestigious third season of EGA Ramp-Up — a platform designed to accelerate ventures aligned with EGA’s industrial and sustainability priorities. Magmec was shortlisted as a finalist and has now entered the intensive five-month mentorship phase of the programme.

The EGA Ramp-Up programme provides deep access to industry leaders, strategic guidance, product development, fundraising, and impact scaling. Finalists gain exposure to EGA’s operations and access to an expanded network of investors, experts, and potential partners culminating in a high-profile Investor Pitch Day in November.

Magmec is developing a breakthrough pathway to produce magnesium metal from alternative brine sources, offering a circular, low-carbon solution to meet the growing demand for lightweight metals.
